How to Travel from Shenzhen to Hong Kong Airport

The distance from Shenzhen to Hong Kong International Airport is around 50 kilometers (31miles). Four ways of transportation are available for passengers to choose. 
 

1. Best High Speed Train + Airport Express: 50 - 70 minutes, HKD 184.1 - 367.9 (USD 23.5 - 46.9)

→ Take high speed train from Shenzhen FutianShenzhen North Railway Station to Hong Kong West Kowloon Railway Station: 14 - 30 minutes, CNY 204 - 226 / HKD 237.3 - 262.9, CNY 109 - 120/ HKD 126.8 - 139.6 for a first class seat, CNY 68 - 75/ HKD 79.1 - 87.2 for a second class seat
→ Walk to MTR  Kowloon Station along the shortest route via Elements, a shopping mall, in about 10 - 15 minutes.
→ Take the Airport Express train to the airport: 22 minutes, HKD 105

2. Second Choice - Bus: from 1h, HKD 93.1 - 174.5 (USD 11.9 - 22.2)

Cross-border coaches take passengers to HKIA from distinctive spots in both Shenzhen downtown and entry-exit ports without transfer.

3. Ferry for Airline Passengers: 40 minutes, HKD 320 - 420 (USD 40.8 - 53.5)

For passengers transiting through Hong Kong Airport with a confirmed flight, the ferry sailing from Shenzhen Shekou Port to SkyPier of HKIA is a good option, which consumes the least energy, as long as their airline participates in the SkyPier Terminal. It only takes 40 minutes on board. Some airlines provide baggage tag-through service and even upstream check-in service, through which passengers can enjoy a hassle-free journey.

4. Cheapest Way - City Traffic  + Airport Bus

Passengers can also travel from Shenzhen to Hong Kong International Airport via those land ports, which only costs several dollars.
 

From Lo Wu Port: 95 min; HKD 58.9 (USD 7.5)

→ Take East Rail Line to Sheung Shui bus stop
→ Transfer to airport shuttle bus line A43 to the airport
 

From Huanggang Port: around 125 minutes; HKD 32.4 (USD 4.1)

→ Take cross-boundary coach to San Tin Public Transport Interchange from the port
→ Interchange to bus A43P to reach the airport bus terminus.
 

From Man Kam To Port: 90 minutes, HKD 32.4 (USD 4.1)

→ Take bus line 73K to Sheung Shui bus stop
→ Transfer to airport shuttle bus line A43 to the airport
 

From Shenzhen Bay Port: 85 minutes, HKD 25.7 (USD 3.3)

→ Take bus line B2P to Tin Shing Court
→ Walk 671 meters (733.8 yards) to Yiu Man House Tin Yiu Estate bus stop for the airport shuttle bus line E37
